The musical is set to make a sensational return in London AND a UK Tour!
Burlesque the Musical is set to return in a big way, with plans confirmed for both a major UK tour and a new London residency later this year.
Based on the cult film starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, the stage musical is written and directed by Steven Antin and continues to build on its growing theatrical life following two runs in Manchester, a season in Glasgow and a sold-out limited engagement at the Savoy Theatre. Performances from West End stars Jess Folley and Asha Parker-Wallace in those earlier seasons earned WhatsOnStage Award nominations, helping to cement the show’s popularity with audiences.
The story follows Ali, a young woman who travels to New York in search of her mother and finds herself drawn into an underground club scene, where music, ambition and self-discovery collide. The musical features songs by Aguilera, Sia, Diane Warren, Folley and Todrick Hall.
This summer, Burlesque the Musical will hit the road on a UK tour, opening at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking on 25 July 2026. Further tour venues and dates are set to be announced, marking the show’s first large-scale national outing.
Alongside the tour, a second production will take up residence in the capital. The musical will play a sit-down run at the newly unveiled Arts at Marble Arch, a 550-seat venue that has just been introduced to London’s theatre landscape. Previews begin on Saturday 12 September 2026, with performances currently booking through to Sunday 31 January 2027.
The London production will run Tuesday to Saturday evenings at 7.30pm, with additional matinee performances on Saturdays at 3pm and on Sundays at 2pm and 7pm.
Christina Aguilera serves as executive producer on the project alongside Adam Paulden, Jason Haigh-Ellery, Steven Antin, Clint Culpepper and In Fine Company. Full casting and creative team details for both the London run and the tour are yet to be revealed.
Tickets for Burlesque the Musical will go on sale in due course, as the show prepares to bring its glittering world of music and performance to audiences across the UK.
